I was at my local pub, The Catford Constitutional Club, which in itself is always worth a visit, when I spied this cider. It immediately caught my attention as it was a cider I had never seen before, it was a beautiful day, and its name sparked my curiosity. Can a cider really taste like apple pie?
The answer is yes. It essentially tasted like an apple pie in a glass, from the sweetness of the apple right down to the smooth, buttery pastry. I really must take my hat off to Turners, they have done an excellent job of reproducing the flavours of an apple pie. Superbly spiced and very refreshing, it feels to me like a mulled cider for the summer.
Turners Apple Pie Cider is flavoursome, not overly sweet and certainly nice and smooth. If you can track it down, you really must give it a try!
