I bought this beer in preparation for 4th July – American Independence Day! Sadlers Land of Liberty is an American stlye IPA, a part of the Great British Brewing Co. series from Aldi. On a side note, Aldi is always worth popping into as they stock some great beers!
Unfortunately, however, Land of Liberty was not a great beer. In fact, is was very disappointing indeed. Overly hopped and overly citrusy, it was difficult to distinguish flavours through the hoppy citrusy assault. A slight positive to this drink is that once you get used to the flavour, the taste is acceptable, but it’s almost not worth the trouble.
Sadly, I definitely would not recommend trying this beer. Sorry America – perhaps I still haven’t forgiven you for the incident with our tea.
