In honour of the Wales Vs Portugal Euro 2016 Semi-Final I have reviewed a quintessentially Portuguese brew.
Super Bock tends to be my go to drink when I partake in a Cheeky Nandos, so it was only right that I choose the beer for this occasion.
However, away from the setting in which I get my Peri-Peri on, (I like hot sauce for those who are interested) I was actually quite disappointed by Super Bock. Yes, it was refreshing and thirst quenching, which is something a lager has to be, however it was also a little dull, and also a little too malty. I could go as far as describing Super Bock as boring.
I will most certainly drink Super Bock again when frequenting my local Cheeky Nandos, maybe the Peri Peri makes it better, however it will not be a supermarket purchase again.
