Alas, one of the great travesties of the modern age is this. Britain no longer sells one of the most delicious beers I have ever tried, Kronenbourg Blanc. They lure you in with the promise and the taste of wonder and then they cruelly remove it from the shelves. Now, if you wish to partake in sampling this nectar of the gods, you have to travel to France.
You’ll probably be thinking ‘what on earth is this crazy man talking about, Kronenbourg is gassy crap you get from the local boozer when there is nothing else on offer’. I beg to differ. The Kronenbourg brewery actually produce some of the best beers in the world, forget the usual 1664, they were holders of the ‘World’s Best Lager’ with their Kronenbourg 1664 Millesime in 2015.
Excellently balanced, Kronenbourg Blanc is almost perfection on every level, the only critism I have is that it is slightly too dry for me, however this does not take away from the incredible taste.
So this is my plea. Kronenbourg, bring back the Blanc.
