Imperial Stouts were created to withstand the perilous journey to Imperial Russia and this why they are a higher percentage to a normal stout.
Samuel Smiths Imperial Stout is particularly complex in flavour because it is fermented in Yorkshire stone, which gives it a very distinct flavour. Superbly balanced, well hopped and packing a flavour punch, Samuel Smiths Imperial Stout certainly isn’t for the faint hearted, make sure you love stout before giving it a go.
It does possibly have too much of an alcohol flavour about it, but in all honesty I don’t mind that too much.
Serve at room temperature to enjoy the full flavours of the delicious brew.
