Bradfield Brewery are a family run, farm based brewery which creates some of the finest beers in the world. For me, their beers conjure happy memories of my time at the University of Sheffield. I especially enjoy their Farmers Belgian Blue, which they produce for the Christmas season.

It’s therefore no surprise that I find the Yorkshire Farmer to be an exceptional Yorkshire Bitter. It’s mouth wateringly malty (for those of you who, like me, are a fan of malt). It’s also well balanced and benefits from subtle hoppy flavours. Robust and intense, I consider this a perfect beer for pairing with a hearty beef stew.

I would say that this beer is potentially a little too malty for those who aren’t a fan of a malty beer, but apart from that the beer is very difficult to criticise. If you like malt, Yorkshire, and independent breweries, this one won’t disappoint.
