Where to start with one of the most talked about beers in the world at the moment?!

Firstly, I will tell you that this is not an easy beer to track down and it is very expensive. It can cost anywhere up to £25 a bottle. I was bought this bottle whilst staying with family in Florida and I can tell you that even there it was difficult to find. There are several online outlets which do occasionally stock it and a simple Google search should direct you.

To the beer, it has a deep chocolatey taste upon first sip with a strong bourbon aftertaste. It is exquisitely complex, exceptionally well balanced and to be quite honest, absolutely delicious. Considering it is 11.8% ABV and it is absolutely packed full of complex flavours, it is surprisingly and somewhat worryingly drinkable, so I warn you now, be careful! It needs to be drunk at room temperature to really appreciate the full power of the coffee, chocolate, bourbon flavours.

They say don’t meet your heroes and I had spent months tracking this down, so it certainly had a lot to live up to. To be perfectly honest, it didn’t disappoint. This hands down is the best beer I have ever drunk, and as you will see from the blog, (which isn’t an all-encompassing list) I have drunk a lot of beers.

I implore you, if you find it buy and it try it. It is worth every penny.
