This rather interesting tipple was found at The House of Trembling Madness in York and is in fact a collaboration between Bad Seed Brewery and The House of Trembling Madness. Now The House of Trembling Madness is my all-time favourite beer shop so if you are ever in York you absolutely need to go check it out. A lot of the beers on this blog are finds from there!
On to Descent into Madness. The first thing you will get from this beer upon first sip is a real tang from all of the citrusy notes. It is actually quite bizarre for a stout, however it does work. The robust nature of the chocolatey tones really mix well with the citrus notes and it is overall very pleasant to drink.
It is pretty well balanced, but it does come in a 750ml bottle, which when you are drinking it to yourself its a little too much and it did become a little sickly.
All in all a very interesting Christmas drink and one I would thoroughly recommend giving a go!
